After dancing at Rollo from the age of 10 it had to be Sam that choreographed our wedding dance. My now husband was worried about ‘free styling’ for our first dance as he said he would feel awkward, so when I said Sam was going to choreograph it for us it was a big relief for him. Sam made a first dance perfect for us and something we will remember and cherish. The rehearsals were relaxed, fun and engaging which also made it more special leading up to our big day. After deciding we wanted to do a choreographed routine for our wedding dance and picking a song we wanted to dance to, we did a quick search online and came across the Rollo Academy. Sam's response after contacting her was very encouraging, so we sent her the song and made our first appointment for a dance lesson. On taking up our first lesson, Sam had already planned out the start of the dance and we finished the lesson with a video to take home with us so we could practice. We were overwhelmed by Sam's enthusiasm and energy, she is full of positivity and ideas which is just what you need when you are starting out with little confidence or experience. We had 4 lessons with Sam and practiced the routine at home and in the park in between lessons with the help of the video that Sam filmed during the lessons. When it came to the wedding day, our guests were blown away by the routine; so much so we were asked to perform it at a Christmas party which had an equally well received response. We couldn't thank Sam enough for her all her help in choreographing our dance, it continues to be the talk of our wedding and is something we would have not been able to do without her. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a teacher to help them create the perfect routine.

Sam was such a fab teacher! From our first lesson despite our unusual choice of music Sam threw herself into creating a routine that was perfect for us. We decided to have dance lessons so we didn’t have to do the ‘awkward shuffle’ and it was one of the best decisions we made! Sam made us feel relaxed despite not being the best dancers and came up with some lovely ideals such as involving our kids at the end of the dance. We really miss our dance lessons!

We booked lessons with Sam for our first dance for our wedding as neither me or my partner could dance for toffee and we were dreading our first dance! We very anxiously decided to try a dance lesson and came across Sam’s dance school. We were both really nervous about having a lesson (we had 2 in the end) but I can honestly say we loved it! Sam really did put us both at ease, she was so lovely and friendly and didn’t judge our terrible dancing abilities. She listened to what we wanted and worked with where we are at (square 1!) and helped come up with a routine for the song we wanted. I never thought I’d say this but we absolutely loved our first dance and that’s all thanks to Sam!! For anybody else worried about their first dance and thinking about having a lesson with Sam, go for it!! You won’t regret it all, she’s wonderful!!

Sam was fantastic, my husband has two left feet and Sam made a dance for us that followed the music perfectly, that we could both follow and that matched our personalities. It was a fun routine that had some surprises and humour and we loved it. We were both very nervous before hand but she made us feel at ease straight away. We approached Sam for dance lessons after a number of attempts by ourselves which consisted purely of a awkward shuffle! On enquiring Sam came across very enthusiastic and helpful and totally put our mind at ease. On our first lesson Sam had already planned the routine which suited us perfectly. We were total beginners and Sam made us relax and really enjoy ourselves. By the end we left feeling confident. She even filmed it so we could continue practising at home. Leading up to our wedding Sam kept in touch ensuring we were happy and we booked a last minute refresher. She never pressured us to do more or anything we didn't want. On the day the dance went better than expected. We made a few mistakes but as Sam had said we could laugh it off and carry on. We can't thank Sam enough!! Highly recommend her

Sam’s patience, skill and ready humour made learning to dance for our wedding effortless and a lot of fun. Due to Sam's thorough preparation Laura and I were relaxed and confident on the day and enjoyed ourselves hugely.

I very highly recommend Sam Rollo for wedding dance lessons. We weren’t planning on doing dance lessons before the wedding - and it wasn’t something I was super excited about - but it’s one of the decisions I’m most pleased with. Sam made the whole experience fun and enjoyable and stress free (we were NOT confident dancers prior to lessons at all!!). Our guests loved that we did planned dance for our first dance and were all very impressed and we were so glad we did and had so much fun practicing and doing it! The photos and videos are priceless and we couldn’t be happier with Sam and the Rollo Academy! If you’re getting married i would definitely recommend signing up for some lessons - you won’t regret it!

Sam really put a lot of effort into getting the music and routine right. It went down a storm at the wedding as no one was expecting it at all. We were very happy. Our routine was to “You’re Timeless to Me” from Hairspray which was an unusual choice I think! Sam wasn't fazed though.

Ian and I approached Sam as total dance beginners to help teach and choreograph something respectable for our wedding dance and I had chosen Time of Your Life which probably wasn't the easiest tune to dance to - particularly as I wanted to attempt a lift ! Sam was patient with both of us as we completely forgot the steps from one week to the next and she was funny and encouraging so that in the end we managed to surprise all our wedding guests with an amazing dance. I would thoroughly recommend Sam for a wedding dance and she is now a wonderful friend of is both too .

We decided to get our first wedding dance choreographed and we couldn't ask for a better teacher than Sam. She choreographed our routine to suit our abilities, as my partner is not the most coordinated person. Sam was patient, encouraging and cheerful, giving us advice and listening to our wishes in terms of what we wanted to incorporate into our routine. We enjoyed the process of learning the routine, we had so much fun! We can totally recommend Sam for teaching the first wedding dance!

Sam was amazing from start to finish. Her work was cut out for her creating a unique routine for a couple with two left feet but she didn’t let that phase her. Sam was so lovely and not only did she create the most amazing routine for us she was so flexible in arranging our lessons even coming in to the studio the day before the wedding to allow us to have a last minute practice. Sam made our lessons funny, enjoyable and personable; we really miss our dancing sessions now!!! Thank you Sam

We had a wonderful time preparing for our wedding dance this past Spring with The Rollo Academy. It was a refreshing break in the run up to the wedding to spend time together laughing and being present in the moment. We can't thank Sam enough for the injection of energy and her ability to turn us into wedding ready dancers. It was an excellent addition to the wedding and it made the first dance unforgettable.
